yin qiao jie du pian (Yinchiao Tablet)

highly effective for treating common cold, influenza, certain acute disorders, mainly onset of infection and inflammation, marked by sore throat, congestion, feverish feeling, and aching in the muscles. It's formulated with Honeysuckle Flower and Forsythia Fruit, being primarily used to induce diaphoresis, remove heat and counteract toxicity for the wind-heat pattern of exterior syndrome, 150 years long. It is useful for upper respiratory infection with fever, headache, cough, dryness of the mouth and sore throat.

Ingredients: Forsythia (Lianqiao), Lonicera flower (Jinyinhua), Platycodon (Jiegeng), Mentha (Bohe), Prepared soybean (Dandouchi), Bamboo leaf (Zhuye), Licorice (Gancao), Schizonepeta spike (Jingjiesui), Arctium fruit (Niubangzi).

Actions: Dispelling wind and removing heat, clearing away heat and toxic material, promoting sweating and relieving the exterior.

Indications: Use for the onset of epidemic febrile disease, fever and slight aversion to cold, headache, thirst, cough, pain of throat, red top of tongue, thin and yellow coating of the tongue, superficial and rapid pulse. It is applicable to Acute tonsillitis, scarlet fever, initial stage of measles, influenza and initial stage of febrile disease caused by exogenous heat.*

Directions: 3 times daily with lukewarm water. Adults: 3 or 4 tablets each time.
