In the first half of April, the penetration rate of new energy exceeded 50%, and those who buy fuel vehicles have officially become a minority.

On April 19, 2024, according to the latest data from the Passenger Car Association, the retail penetration rate of new energy vehicles in China exceeded 50% for the first time, reaching 50.39%, marking that new energy vehicles have officially surpassed traditional fuel vehicles and become the dominant force in the market. This historic breakthrough not only heralds a major change in China's automobile market, but also reflects the significant advantages of new energy vehicles in technology, market acceptance and consumer awareness.

With the continuous advancement of new energy vehicle technology and strong policy support, consumers are increasingly accepting new energy vehicles. The comprehensive transcendence of new energy vehicles in terms of power, quietness, and intelligence, as well as the gradual decline in prices, have made consumers of traditional fuel vehicles a minority.

China's new energy vehicle market has experienced a process from slow growth to explosive growth. From 2005 to 2015, it took 10 years for the penetration rate to exceed 1%. From 2020 to 2024, in just over 4 years, the penetration rate soared to 50%, completing the national planning target 11 years ahead of schedule.

New energy vehicles have formed a "technical suppression" of fuel vehicles in many aspects. As prices fall, the market competitiveness of new energy vehicles further strengthens, accelerating the replacement of fuel vehicles. Consumers' awareness of the performance, usage experience and cost of new energy vehicles has continued to deepen, which has increased the market acceptance of new energy vehicles.

中国汽车流通协会的乘用车市场联席分会的数据显示,4月1日至14日,中国新能源乘用车市场零售26万辆,同比增长32%,4月上半月,新能源乘用车零售渗透率为50.39%,首次超过传统燃油乘用车。近二十年来,新能源汽车以惊人的速度发展。2005年到2015年,中国新能源汽车用了10年,渗透率才突破1%。2016年到2019年,虽然新能源渗透率虽然提升到5%,但燃油车依然是市场的主角。2020年是一个分水岭,中国制定了到2035年新能源汽车渗透率超过50%的目标。随后,中国新能源渗透率迎来爆发式提升,2021年突破14%,2022年突破27%,2023年突破33%。

早在2020年,中国制定了到2035年新能源汽车渗透率超过50%的目标,而现在这一目标提前了11年实现。

目前,新能源汽车在动力转型、环保性、智能化等方面也已全面超越传统燃油车,尤其是插混,集燃油、插电、增程、纯电动的功能于一体。消费者对新能源汽车性能、使用体验、用车成本等方面体验进一步提升,前景更加可期,市场驱动更加明显。

专家指出,随着新能源汽车渗透率的提高,相关产业链也将得到蓬勃发展,包括电池、电机、电控等关键零部件的制造,以及充电设施的建设,将进一步促进中国制造业的转型升级。
