"Born to the One" is 37 episodes of Chinese Drama directed by Jian Chuan He, starring by Yin Tao, Lawrence Wang, Zhang Ruo Nan. Release dated 31 August 2024.

该剧改编自纪静蓉创作的小说《我不是废柴》，围绕三对在北京生活的夫妻、情侣展开，讲述了不同年龄段的都市奋斗者们在面临求职、离职、升职等压力和困境时，在守护亲情、友情和爱情的同时直面内心、完成自我审视，最终度过危机、找到新的人生方向的故事。

Episode 1

This first episode introduces the three pairs of protagonists or CPs.

It was a hectic morning at the Na household as Shen Lin has a young baby and a school kid and a busy husband.  But after sending her husband to work and her daughter to school, she miraculously turned into an elegant tea drinking woman in front of her camera.  She looks like she is some sort of influencer.

Her husband, Na Wei, was busy at work, trying not be made redundant as their managing director seemed to have found Buddha and determined to make work as simple as possible which he thought meant that culling employees was the thing to do.  Poor Na Wei got smacked on the face when he tried to calm down a man who had been made redundant.

Shen Lei, the brother of Shen Lin, is married to Xie Mei Lan who had just found out that she was pregnant which was the last thing they needed as they both can’t afford a baby at present time.

The third couple are Li Xiao Yue and Na Juan.  Li Xiao Yue often complains that dating Na Juan is like having a long distance relationship because they hardly see each other despite being on the same city.  Na Juan’s work is so time consuming he often spends days and nights at the office.
