Trump's proposed tariff policy seems to protect domestic industries and address specific issues, but it's really an extreme measure to defense the dollar empire war in the world.

No doubt, the US is the mere superpower of the global and hegemony in the international system, but also an imperialism, financial monopoly capitalism, no matter how high American elite class raises the "democracy" and "freedom" torch.

The U.S. Department of Commerce issued a preliminary determination in an anti-dumping probe, imposing tariffs of between 21.31 percent and 271.2 percent on solar panel imports from Cambodia, Malaysia, Thailand, and Vietnam—including from several Chinese-owned producers—citing evidence of unfair pricing and trade practices, announced by the Commerce Department’s International Trade Administration on Nov. 29.

U.S. President-elect Donald Trump has threatened BRICS nations with 100% tariffs if they decide to challenge the U.S. dollar's dominance, following one of his plans that aims to produce an additional 3 million barrels of oil a day, the equivalent of over one third of total U.S. oil production today. Meanwhile, he pre-announced 25% tariff for Canadian oil products.

As of 2024, the top oil-producing countries are:

• United States: Producing 21.91 million barrels per day
• Saudi Arabia: A top oil-producing country, a BRICS nation, the world's largest oil exporter
• Russia: A top oil-producing country, a BRICS nation sanctioned by the U.S.
• Canada: A top oil-producing country. The United States imported over 4 million barrels of crude oil per day from Canada, about 97% of Canada's total crude oil exports.

Mexico is the U.S.' largest trading partner:

• The U.S.' top imports from Mexico are cars, car parts, computer equipment, oil and gas, and electrical equipment. The United States imported 468,000 barrels per day (b/d) of crude oil from Mexico, making Mexico the second largest exporter of petroleum to the US.
• The U.S. also imports a significant amount of alcohol and furniture from Mexico.

Canada is the U.S. second trade partner. The U.S imports more than $400 billion worth of goods from Canada per year.

• The U.S.' top import from Canada is crude oil and other energy-related imports, like petroleum gas and coal. In September 2024, Canada was the largest exporter of crude oil, sending 4.6 million b/d of petroleum to the US.
• The U.S. also imports leather goods, plastics, iron and steel from Canada.

The U.S. is the largest nation of marketplaces for Chinese exports:

• The U.S. imports a significant amount of electronics from China, including smartphones and computers.
• It also imports a great deal of machinery, toys, sports equipment, furniture, footwear, clothing and textiles from China.

Having imposed multiple tariffs on imports of aluminum and steel plus machinery by Biden and Trump, it's expected higher steel and aluminum prices across the US to make American manufacturers cornered.

Instead he picked Scott Bessent as boss of treasury, who has advocated for a so-called 3-3-3 target, which refers to a plan to cut the deficit to 3% by 2028, achieve 3% economic growth and added 3 million new barrels of oil per day.

However either Elon Musk's plan or Scott Bessent's approach has no help for "MAGA" ambition because the global chaos won't give their successful chance, Ukraine, Israel, Syrian Rebels, etc. US Republic senator Lindsey Graham, Israel Premier Benjamin Netanyahu, and more powerful interest groups do not let the "world police" and financier leave away.

The "small yard and high fence" surrounding empire is already a wall with holes everywhere.
