Dunhuang My Dreamland -Dance Drama DVD

With the world-famous Dunhuang as the background, this drama portrays a young painter called Mo Gao, who pursues the best art and a girl called Yue Ya, who breaks through the feudal yoke to pursue her true love. Crazy about the mural paintings in Dunhuang Caves, Mo Gao is critically ill while traveling across the desert and but fortunately rescued by Yue Ya. They fall in love with each other but is opposed by Yue Ya’s father. Under the threats by blood and fire, Yue Ya gives up her life for human equality and true love while Mo Gao with great sorrow finishes his artistic and poetic masterpiece.

The most spectacular show contributed to the promotion of the cultural heritage of Dunhuang from Lanzhou Song and Dance Theatre.

Dunhuang My Dreamland has won lots of awards. It is one of China National Stage Treasures Project Top Ten Titles (2003-2004).

在四幕舞剧中，中国当代著名编导家陈维亚将莫高窟千佛洞飞天壁画实景原比例移上舞台，观众可以一览西域敦煌的人文风物 — 绚丽多姿的莫高窟壁画，栩栩如生的飞天壁画，大气磅礴的千佛壁画，顶天立地的佛头，都被设计者巧妙地纳入舞台的布景及天幕之中，上百套服饰交替更换，宛如一场古代西域服装秀，在音乐和灯光的映衬下，营造出璀璨绚烂的西域敦煌韵味。
