qing qi hua tan wan (Respiryn Extract)

For cough due to phlegm-heat, marked by cough with difficult expectoration of thick yellowish sputum, fullness of the chest, or short breath and nausea. The traditional formula "Qing Qi Hua Tan Wan" (Pill for Clearing away Heat and Phlegm) in TCM is primarily used for clearing away heat, dissolving phlegm, regulating qi and relieving cough, in cases of stagnation of phlegm and heat in the lung.

Pinellia (rhizome)

Chinese banyan (root)
Tangerine (dried rind of mature fruit)
Poria (sclerotium)

Ginger (fresh rhizome)

Actions: Clearing away heat and resolving phlegm, regulating the flow of qi and arresting cough.

Indications: It is indicated for cough due to phlegm-heat, marked by cough with difficult expectoration of thick yellowish sputum, fullness of the chest, or short breath and nausea if serious, reddened tongue with greasy yellowish fur, smooth and rapid pulse. It is applicable to such diseases with thick yellowish sputum as pneumonia, acute bronchitis or outbreak of chronic bronchitis, chronic pharyngitis, which pertain to syndrome of internal accumulation of phlegm and heat.*

Directions: Take 6 pills 3 times a day.
Caution: Do not use during pregnancy. Not suitable to the early stage of wind-invasion.
