Actions: Nourishes the Yin in the Kidney and Liver.

Indications: Deficiency of the kidney and liver yin in chronic diseases with symptoms such as weakness or pain in lower back, restlessness, insomnia, burning in soles or palms, mild night sweats, dizziness, tinnitus, sore throat, impotence and high blood pressure.

It is applicable to chronic nephritis, hypertension, diabetes, tuberculosis, renal tuberculosis, hyperthyroidism, central retinitis, anovulatory dysfunctional uterine bleeding, menopausal syndrome and other diseases, which pertain to the syndromes of kidney-yin deficiency.*

Directions: As dietary supplement take 8 concentrated pills each time, three times a day.

六味地黄丸原名地黄丸，原方载于宋代钱乙《小儿药证直诀》，是钱氏由金匮肾气丸化裁而出，具有滋阴补肾之功能，被后民誉为“补阴方药之祖”，对肾阴不足所致头晕耳鸣 ，腰膝酸软，遗精盗汗诸般虚症，均有良效。六味地黄丸是治疗肾阴不足的基本方式药。

近年来，研究发现六味地黄丸还有许多新功效。

调节免疫功能：研究发现，六味地黄丸对多形核白细胞的免疫功能有明显的双向调节作用，且具有一定的防癌作用。

对肾功能的影响：研究发现，六味地黄丸合用糖皮质激素治疗肾病综合征患儿比单用糖皮质激素治疗者疗效明显提高。中老年人常服六味地黄丸对肾功能有一定的保护作用。

延缓衰老：六味地黄丸能明显增加阴虚动物体重，增强其抗疲劳、耐低温和耐缺氧能力。

治疗老年性痴呆：六味地黄丸有明显的抗氧化作用，对老年性痴呆有一定治疗作用。临床试验证实，六味地黄丸对改善健忘及老年性痴呆有一定疗效。

治疗轻中度高血压：有人将38例轻、中度高血压患者随机分为治疗组及对照组进行治疗观察。治疗组22例用六味地黄丸和复方丹参治疗，对照组16例用心痛定加维生素E治疗。结果，中药组降压率为90.9%，西药组降压率为87.5%。

治疗2型糖尿病：有人用随机对照开放试验方法，以加减六味地黄丸治疗2型糖尿病30例，另设15例以达美康治疗作对照。结果显示，在改善症状方面加减六味地黄丸明显优于达美康，加减六味地黄丸还有降低胆固醇、甘油三酯的作用。

治疗绝经后骨质疏松：采用以六味地黄丸和骨吸收抑制剂尼尔雌醇为主的中西医结合方法，对98例绝经后骨质疏松患者进行治疗，经3个疗程的治疗，患者 骨痛及骨密度均有改善。对60例典型更年期综合征患者采用六味地黄丸和西药维尼安治疗，患者的潮热、失眠、焦躁、情绪不稳、性欲减低等症状有显著改善。

治疗矽肺：报道，用汉防己甲素(100mg3次/日)和六味地黄丸每周同服6天，连用2个月，可使矽肺患者咳嗽、咯痰、胸痛及呼吸困难明显改善，感冒和支气管肺部感染率下降52.94%。
