shun qi wan (Swellex Extract)

Used for abdominal pain and distension due to stagnation of qi in the liver, food congestion, retention of phlegm-damp in the stomach. Also useful for food stagnation due to cold food or drink, or to improper eating habits such as sleeping after a meal. The traditional formula "Mu Xiang Shun Qi Wan" (Aucklandia Carminative Pill) in TCM is primarily used to relieve stagnation gas and promote food digestion, for indigestion with flatulence and constipation.

Ginger (fresh rhizome)
Tangerine (dried rind of mature fruit)
Cang-zhu atractylodes (rhizome)
Tangerine (dried rind)
Chinese amomum (fruit)

Magnolia (stem)
Chinese licorice(root).

Actions: Disperses stagnation of qi and food, strengthens the stomach-spleen and relieves pain.

Indications: Used for stagnation of qi and food due to liver congestion, with retention of phlegm-damp in the stomach. Also useful for food stagnation due to cold food or drink, or to improper eating habits such as sleeping after a meal. Symptoms include erratic stools, belching, abdominal distension, and poor digestion. It is applicable to severe abdominal distention in large intestinal carcinoma combined with intestinal obstruction.*

Directions: Take 8 pills each time, 3 times a day as a herbal supplement.
Warning: Do not use during pregnancy. It should be avoided to take for who has the stagnation of qi with heat and the deficiency of yin, since this formula is full of fragrant herbs. Raw, cold and greasy food should be avoided to take.
