Hua Qi Wan

use for epigastric and abdominal distention and pain, chest distress and fullness, anorexia, belching and acid regurgitation, vomiting and indigestion due to stagnation of qi in the liver and the stomach. The traditional formula "chen xiang hua qi wan" is primarily used to soothe the liver, eliminate stagnancy of gas, harmonize the stomach and promote digestion, for cases of stagnancy of gas due to cold distension and pain in the chest and abdomen, vomiting due to cold in the stomach.

Ingredients:
Chinese giant hyssop (whole plant)
Cyperus (rhizome)
Chinese amomum (fruit)
Tangerine (dried rind of mature fruit)
Barley (dried germinated ripe fruit)
Zedoary (rhizome)
Chinese licorice(root).

Actions: To regulate the flow of qi in the liver and the stomach, and to remove the retention of undigested food.

Indications: Used for stagnation of qi in the liver and the stomach marked by epigastric and abdominal distention and pain, chest distress and fullness, anorexia, belching and acid regurgitation, vomiting and indigestion. It is applicable to the above symptoms as seen in acute and chronic gastritis, gastroduodenal ulcer, gastric neurosis, chronic hepatitis, cholecystitis, intercostal neuralgia.*
